<p>Event management training prunes the learners to get to the core of the event. Once they have a through understanding of the event they can function smoothly. Training begins with the objective of the event. At the onset one should know what the basic objective is. The reason to the event. The ultimate goal that the event wants to realise. It is here that the WH questions are put to task, who, what, why, when, how and where? The answers will provide the accurate motive to organise the event.</p>
<p>Begin with who. Who are the target audience that you have to reach out to? What income class are you looking at? That will lead you to know the method of communication. Whether online contests will work or whether print ads will do the trick. You have to collect information about the likes and dislikes of your target audience and work accordingly.</p>
<p>Next you ask what? What is it you want your target audience to do? If it is a sales event: is it to set new targets and improve motivation techniques. If it is of a promotional type: is the objective to build awareness or rebuild the brand image or makes its uses more talked about. <p>Next we come to when? Training here imbibes the importance of time. When is the event going to be held? In the coming week, month or year. That should allow you time to arrange for the necessities. At what part of the day is the event? This will hold considerable meaning for colours, layout designs and overall look. As sombre colours can be used during the day and the evening can be made glamorous with vibrant colours.</p>
<p>Event management training considers one to understand the importance of where the event is going to be held. A hotel, an open-air ground etc. accordingly the rest of the procedures follow. And if you are pressed for time then &#8216;how&#8217; are you planning to double up the speed and obtain your objective.</p>

<p>National Institute of Event Management (NIEM), Mumbai. It has been set-up in 2000 and provides a Diploma in Event Management (DEM). The Empire Institute of Learning (EIL), Mumbai imparts a full as well as a part-time postgraduate course. The part-time course is conducted from 7.00 to 9.00 pm every week with a longer duration on Sunday.</p>
<p>Event Management Development Institute (EMDI), Pune has a recognized event management course. EMDI has been recognized by Event Management Association of India, a FICCI body. EMDI is growing in size and has recently opened its branches in Dubai. It has a well-established base in India at Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore.</p>

<p>There are many intricacies involved in event management. Many layers complicate the big event. Too many things need to be wrapped up in a short while. In due consideration Event Management Companies are set-up. They organize from head to toe. All you have to do is provide them with the basic information, the rest they oraganise.</p>
<p>Huge companies are set-up. To a name a few in India we have Wizcraft, TBWA PR, Percept D Mark, Hungama.com, Red Bull. They organize small time events, celebrity events, road shows, stage-shows, weddings, corporate events and a lot more. <p>&#8216;Special Events&#8217; is the term given to events with a difference. Charity shows, marathons, cycling races, street festivals etc. are a few of the many special events organised. As the event has an unusual theme, the event management company has to double up its speed to think on lines with the theme. More resources and creativity are put to the task.</p>
<p>For instance consider the organization of Athens 2004. It was a special event. The opening ceremony, the event and the closing ceremony, had to be meticulously organised. A race kicked off the event. Runners passed the baton. This earmarked the tradition that running was the only sport at the first Olympic Games held in Athens. Then 400 percussionists and 50 bouzouki players welcomed the audience. From 400 it dropped to just one percussionist who played the rhythm of a heartbeat. This was the symbol of the theme of Athens 2004 &#8216;unique games on a human scale&#8217;. This should give you an idea how a special event is organised.</p>
<p>Event management companies arrange the entire event on a theme. It could be a wedding or a charity show, a children&#8217;s event etc. these events demand creativity. Something that will make them stand out of the clutter firstly, as it is a different event and secondly that the feedback should be encouraging for an encore.
